RISO birthday card “BIRTHDAY QUEEN” – Colorful card in 3 RISO colors

Long live the birthday queen! This birthday card is inspired by the queen from a deck of cards, complete with sunglasses, flowers, and a serious dose of attitude. The front is printed in three RISO colors: neon pink, red, and yellow. The back features a black print.

RISO gives the card its striking colors and characteristic, artisanal look. Each color is printed separately. This can result in slight shifts and imperfections: that is part of the RISO process and makes every card unique. A cheerful card for someone who deserves to be the Queen for a day on her birthday.

Why RISO?
Studio Inktvis fell for RISO because of the intensely rich colors and the handmade appearance. The printing process is similar to screen printing: each color is applied separately. RISO uses soy-based ink and masters made of Japanese wax-coated paper. Because it is a cold printing process, the machine consumes relatively little energy.

Small color variations and imperfections are part of this special printing technique and make every card unique.
